With this project, we started from a clear premise: to demonstrate that interior design can transform a social-interest home into a space filled with identity, warmth, and character — without the need for major structural interventions.
Located on the Costa Chica of Oaxaca, this house was conceived as a vacation retreat, designed both for family enjoyment and as a rental property. Our proposal responded to this dual purpose by creating an environment that is functional, versatile, and emotionally connected to its surroundings.
The design concept — a beach house with roots — emerged from the meeting point between contemporary aesthetics and artisanal traditions. We drew inspiration from the coastal landscape, local materials, and traditional craftsmanship to build an honest and cohesive spatial narrative. Every decision was guided by the intention of creating a fresh, welcoming space deeply rooted in its context.
We worked with a neutral palette enriched by earthy and green accents, incorporating materials such as macuil wood, palm, clay, and natural textiles. Custom-designed furniture was created to optimize the available space, while warm lighting and handmade elements bring an intimate and authentic atmosphere to the interiors.
Through subtle interventions — such as the use of mineral paint to define areas, integrated storage solutions, and the incorporation of vegetation — we redefined the perception of the space, adding depth, order, and harmony.
More than an interior design project, Brisas Diamante is an exploration of conscious living: prioritizing what is essential, celebrating local craftsmanship, and creating spaces that invite rest, connection, and enjoyment.
