Comprehensive Design with Natural Warmth and Coastal Harmony
Casa Palmeras 1 is a two-story home located in a coastal setting, where we developed a comprehensive design focused on carpentry, upholstery, and the full styling of each space. We guided our client through the entire process—from design and material selection to decoration and final styling—carefully attending to every detail to create a functional, welcoming, and cohesive atmosphere.
In the outdoor area, we designed a custom sunbed in macuil wood with a simple yet elegant structure, intended for poolside relaxation. The outdoor cushions, specially made for the project, rest against a built-in wall structure, offering enhanced comfort and a clean visual integration. This design is echoed in the indoor living room sofa, creating continuity between indoor and outdoor spaces. It features a solid wood base, cozy cushions, and an oval coffee table whose wooden legs showcase a delicate slatted effect—an artisanal detail that recurs throughout the furniture to ensure visual unity and handcrafted character.
In the kitchen, we designed a parota wood island that balances functionality and aesthetics: bar-height for dual use as a dining table, with generous internal storage. This piece connects seamlessly with the home’s existing wood finishes, reinforcing visual continuity.
In the TV room, we developed adaptable cushion seating that can also serve as an extra bed for guests, made with durable textiles in neutral tones, aligned with the soft, beach-inspired palette of the project. The space is complemented by a rectangular coffee table and a macuil wood TV console with lower storage compartments and side shelves for display. The console doors feature refined slatted detailing that adds rhythm and artisanal charm.
We also designed the bedroom storage furniture, replicating the same construction language and slatted door detail to ensure consistency across the entire home. Finally, we included wooden accessories in the bathrooms, maintaining the natural and understated style of the overall proposal.
For this project, we used macuil wood for movable furniture and lightweight design elements, while parota was chosen for more structural pieces like the kitchen island. The color palette—soft and desaturated—was selected in collaboration with the client, who also contributed personal decorative items. We handled the final styling, placing each piece with care to create a fresh, harmonious, and character-rich environment.
